of babies, sea silk and hairbrushes (or lack thereof)

My darling little emperors - Carrie forgot her Manolos again! These ladies are certainly a handful, and quite spoiled: yogurt drops or shredded wheat in the morning, treats when there's cooking, and French toast on weekends. The two with hair are protective of Carrie and Sam, the two nakeds. They seem docile when they're hanging out in their cage, but love to try to escape once they're out!

I have yet to work with Handmaiden Sea Silk, but I brought some with me in hopes that it will turn into a Swallowtail. This colorway is gorgeous - it's a subtle shaded solid called Ivory, with varying tones of ivory, cream, pale gold and cloudy silver. I can't wait to see how it knits up.

The second Travelers Stocking is coming along, although I'm not sure that I'll have enough yarn. I'm crossing my fingers and knitting as fast as I can.

And lastly: who knew that the key to slightly messy, wavy hair was to sleep on it, throw it in a bun while dinking around in Seattle, and take it down to brush it? (Which, by the way, never happened.) Straight hair: 0, Cory: 1.

Sheath dress: Vintage Liz Claiborne. How do I love sheath dresses? Let me count the ways.
Sweater: Pale blue boatneck back-buttoned cardigan by Kersh...Spring 2009, I think?
Boots: Miz Mooz fall 2009
Hair flower: H&M
