Spring is finally here. And with it have come some pretty awesome things:
1. My winter term coat has been accepted into a fashion show at Oberlin. I made some modifications over the break, took a couple of pictures, and entered it in last week, and although I don't have a model yet, I'm pretty excited to see what happens!
2. Over break, my friend Emily and I went to visit Yale. I sort of fell in love with the campus and the promise of grad school (someday, someday! Unfortunately, probably not at Yale, but eh...) and was pleasantly surprised by both an awesome vintage store and a cool little yarn shop, called - quite fittingly - Knit New Haven. They had Pigeonroof Studios roving, and I snatched some of it up. The colorway is called Structure. I also had a truly amazing find at the vintage store, which I really need to devote an entire post to - stay tuned!
3. Lots and lots of knitting. I've finished two shawlettes in the last two weeks, and am itching to cast on for Herbivore. The one above is Ishbel, knit in Artyarns Mohair Splash, and I just cast off yesterday. Hopefully I'll be able to get some FO pictures soon. But, in the meantime, I finished Multnomah! (Which one of my knitting buddies has taken to calling Multimedia because of the various and sundry ways that people have been pronouncing it. Oh, the Midwest... where Oregon is pronounced "oh-reh-gone" and two inches of rain floods an entire county...)
4. Last but not least: midterm grades. I pwned my Korea midterm paper, and my art history midterm, and my Japanese exam. Take that, spring semester.
How is your spring going?
