Hope everybody in the US had a great long weekend!
This is a new Multnomah shawlette, a wonderful pattern by Kate that I made for the first time a couple of years ago and immediately put on my knit-it-again list. The other day I was browsing Ravelry and saw a beautiful version knit in Noro Sekku - in the exact colorway that I have in my stash, no less! - and had to cast on right away.
It ended up being really good timing, because it was the perfect project to carry around in my purse this last weekend, when Lumberjack and I went to all three days of Bumbershoot, Seattle's annual music festival.
The absolute highlight of the weekend was seeing Gotye in concert - I had listened to his album quite a bit and liked it, but it did nothing to prepare me for how good his show was! Turns out that that frigging catchy song is just the tip of the iceberg; he has an amazing voice, has a great sense of humor, plays the drums really well, and layers all sorts of interesting sounds into his songs that make them well worth multiple listenings.
Sadly, I couldn't knit while I was standing in the concert, but for once I actually didn't mind!

I should probably knit another Multnomah soon. I still get questions about the pattern almost every day, and it's been over three years since I released the pattern. It's getting harder and harder to remember all the details!
