So I mentioned that over spring break, I blocked a lot of things.
This little Swallowtail Shawl has actually been blocked for a few months, and finished since Japan, but it wasn't until last week that I finally wove in the ends and took pictures. It is the most beautiful color - a soft white in most lights, but when you look up close there are greys, pale pinks, and golds. Combine that spectacular color sense with a soft, drapey, warm yarn and a simple but beautifully made pattern, and you have a winner.
I've been wearing it all week.
Pattern: Swallowtail Shawl (rav link), by Evelyn Clark, from IK Fall 2006
Yarn: Handmaiden Sea Silk, colorway Ivory, 90% of 437 yard skein
Needles: US 5 Addi Turbo Lace
Time: 4 days to knit, 5 months to block and weave in the ends, hahah.
