Yesterday I woke up to a thunderstorm at 8 am, and it was an insanely warm 65 degrees outside. Today was thirty degrees cooler, but dry, so I decided to take my other pair of J Shoes for a spin.
Red silky shirt: BCBG Max Azria, thrifted
Green tweed belt: Free store at Oberlin, I think originally GAP or The Limited
Tulip print polyester skirt: Thrifted, from Ratsy's in Oberlin
Boots: J Shoes Martha
I love this skirt with wild abandon. The print sort of looks like apples, but I think it's tulips. I love the retro length, and I'm pretty sure it was handmade. I've worn it a lot so far this winter, since it pairs really well with leggings and boots. I really like this (very autumnal) color combo.
The shirt was thrifted with my knitting buddy Sparkle and the Lumberjack during fall break, for something like $5. It has a cute detail at the waist, but I felt like it needed to be tucked in and belted. It's not the most flattering shape ever, but I love the neckline and the color. I handwashed it before wearing, which I try to do with all of my thrift items except for coats and fancy dresses that aren't washed often anyway.
